MSC to launch direct South America–Middle East service

MSC will introduce a new direct service from South America to the Middle East in October, with Abu Dhabi serving as a key transshipment hub. The service is designed to support reefer cargo bound for major Persian Gulf destinations, offering faster transit times.

South American exporters will be able to deliver cargo to Abu Dhabi in under 33 days, with arrivals in Shuwaikh in 38 days and Hamad in 39 days. The first sailing will depart from Itajai with the vessel MSC Shreya B., voyage QJ539R.

The updated service rotation will be: Buenos Aires – Rio Grande – Itajai – Navegantes – Paranagua – Santos – Rio de Janeiro – Walvis Bay – Abu Dhabi – Singapore – Qingdao – Busan – Ningbo – Shanghai – Shekou – Singapore – Colombo – Rio de Janeiro – Santos – Paranagua – Itapoa – Itajai – Buenos Aires.
