Plans to develop a new container terminal at Sparrow’s Point in Baltimore have taken a significant step forward after the US Army Corps of Engineers and federal authorities granted the required construction permits.
The new container facility will be operated by a joint venture between MSC’s terminal arm, Terminal Investment Limited (TIL), and TradePoint Atlantic. The project is set to transform the former industrial site into a major container handling hub on the U.S. East Coast.
