MSC revises South Africa–Europe Service

MSC will introduce faster transit times from South Africa to Northern Europe for January and February 2026 sailings.

The carrier will rename the Eastern Cape Express as the Western Cape Express. The service will now call at Cape Town instead of Gqeberha. MSC said the change will improve speed and reliability on shipments to key Northern European hubs.

The updated rotation will provide quicker access to London Gateway and Rotterdam. The service is expected to benefit fresh produce exporters across the region.

The first vessel on the revised rotation will be MSC Tania, voyage WM601R, sailing in week 02. The service will call at Walvis Bay, Cape Town, San Pedro, London Gateway, Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Le Havre.

MSC said the upgrade reflects its focus on improving transit times and delivering reliable, customer-focused shipping solutions.
