MSC revises rotations of Israel Express and Levante Express

After the announcement about the end of cooperation with ZIM on the North Europe – East Mediterranean trade, MSC will revise the rotation on two of its services, Israel Express and Levante Express, to continue to respond to customer demand.

The global shipping line will apply the following changes to the aforementioned services, as follows:

  • Israel Express: London Gateway (United Kingdom) – Rotterdam (The Netherlands) – Antwerp (Belgium) – Le Havre (France) – Ashdod (Israel) – Haifa (Israel) – Iskenderun (Turkey) – Aliaga (Turkey) – Valencia (Spain) – London Gateway (United Kingdom)

MSC will offer a weekly service with five vessels operating on this rotation. The Swiss ocean carrier also noted that cargoes from Hamburg can join the service via Antwerp, while boxes for Limassol can be transshipped in Piraeus, and served via Gioia Tauro.

The first departure on the southbound leg from London Gateway to Haifa will be offered by the 5,550 TEU MSC Cadiz, with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) on 19 March. The same vessel’s first departure on the northbound leg from Haifa has an ETA of 4 April.

  • Levante Express: London Gateway (UK) – Rotterdam (The Netherlands) – Antwerp (Belgium) – Valencia (Spain) – Gioia Tauro (Italy) – Alexandria (Egypt) – Mersin (Turkey) – Gioia Tauro (Italy) – La Spezia (Italy) – London Gateway (UK)

MSC will offer a weekly service with five vessels operating on the Levante Express, which will also be a weekly service. The first departure on the southbound leg from London Gateway will be offered by MSC Laura, with an ETA in Alexandria on 11 March.

The same vessel will depart on the northbound leg from the Egyptian port and is expected to arrive in London on 27 March, according to MSC, which said that cargo from Naples will be connected to the Levante Express with a dedicated shuttle feeder via Gioia Tauro.
