MSC restructures Himalaya Express

MSC is set to overhaul its Himalaya Express service, removing its Black Sea leg in favor of a tighter focus on Western Mediterranean ports and enhanced Middle East Gulf coverage, particularly in Saudi Arabia.

The updated itinerary will connect key hubs in Italy and Spain with major ports in the Gulf and Indian Subcontinent, reflecting shifting trade priorities and route optimization.

The revised rotation is as follows: Valencia – Gioia Tauro – Genoa – Barcelona – Valencia – Malaga – Jebel Ali – Khalifa – Hamad – Dammam – Jubail – Khalifa – Mundra – Nhava Sheva – Vizhinjam – Sines – returning to Valencia.

The service’s broader Gulf coverage now includes Dammam and Jubail, reinforcing MSC’s footprint in Saudi Arabia amid increasing demand in the region.
