MSC restructures Albatros service

Mediterranean Shipping Company has revised its Albatros service, removing its round-the-world configuration.

Mediterranean Shipping Company has revised its Albatros service, removing its round-the-world configuration following recent network adjustments, according to DynaLiners.

The changes include the removal of Freeport in the Bahamas and New York, both of which were added in August under a previous update. As a result, the service will no longer operate as a global loop.

Instead, MSC has repositioned the Albatros service as a dedicated Europe–Far East roundtrip, incorporating new port calls at Klaipeda and Singapore to strengthen connectivity across these regions.

The updated rotation now includes Felixstowe, Bremerhaven, Gdansk, Klaipeda, Antwerp, Felixstowe, Singapore, Ningbo, Tianjin, Dalian, Kwangyang, Ningbo, Shenzhen (Yantian), Singapore, before returning to Felixstowe.

With this restructuring, MSC aims to streamline operations and enhance service efficiency between Europe and Asia, while maintaining comprehensive port coverage across key trade corridors.
