MSC has removed the Portuguese port of Sines from two of its Europe–Indian Subcontinent (ISC) services, adjusting rotations on routes linking North Europe and the Mediterranean with South Asia.
The changes affect the NWC to IPAK service and the Himalaya Express, which MSC operates in cooperation with SCI. One service connects North Europe with the Indian Subcontinent, while the other links Mediterranean ports with South Asia and the Middle East.
Following the update, the revised rotations are as follows:
NWC to IPAK
Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Antwerp, Le Havre, London Gateway, Port Louis, Port Réunion, Colombo, Nhava Sheva, Hazira, Mundra, Karachi, and back to Felixstowe.
Himalaya Express
Valencia, Barcelona, Tekirdag, Gioia Tauro, La Spezia, Valencia, Malaga, Jebel Ali, Khalifa, Hamad, Dammam, Jubail, Khalifa, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Vizhinjam, and back to Valencia.
The removal of Sines reflects ongoing adjustments by carriers to optimise service networks, port coverage, and operational efficiency across the Europe–Indian Subcontinent trade lanes.
