MSC pushes up Europe – Oceania rates

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has announced the implementation of new Freight All Kinds (FAK) rate increases from Europe to New Zealand and Australia, which will be effective from 1 January 2022 until further notice.

In particular, the Swiss shipping line will raise its prices for cargoes travelling from the Belgian port of Antwerp to Auckland and Bluff in New Zealand, as well as to the Australian ports of Sydney and Brisbane.

The freight rate increase that will be imposed on all 20′, 40′ dry van and high cube containers, will be as follows:

In addition, the world’s second-largest ocean carrier will increase its FAK rates for the same type of cargo from the port of La Spezia in Italy to the aforementioned destinations.
