MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company has introduced new logistics options for inland cargo moving to Iraq, offering competitive transit times from Asia via Türkiye.

The company said the solution responds to the current security situation affecting shipping in the Middle East.

MSC’s Tiger and Phoenix services connect Asia with Türkiye and provide inland transport options into Iraq.

Cargo moving on the Phoenix service can reach Iraq through Iskenderun, while shipments on the Tiger service can move inland via Mersin.

The routes provide access to several key Iraqi cities, including Zakho, Dohuk, Mosul, Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Baghdad.

MSC also supports both merchant haulage and carrier haulage options. This allows customers to move cargo efficiently from Turkish ports to inland destinations across Iraq.

The services operate within MSC’s standalone East–West network, which includes six Asia–Mediterranean routes. The network offers direct port calls and competitive transit times between Asia and Mediterranean markets.

According to the company, the expanded connectivity aims to support supply chains and maintain reliable cargo flows despite regional security challenges.
