
Mediterranean Shipping Company has launched its long-delayed Phoenix service, establishing a new connection between key ports in the Mediterranean and the Far East.
Originally scheduled to begin a year earlier, the service is now operational and will be deployed with vessels in the 8,000 to 11,000 TEU range, offering increased capacity and expanded routing options for customers.
The Phoenix service will follow a rotation that includes Busan, Ningbo, Shanghai, Shenzhen (Shekou), Singapore, Iskenderun, Trieste, Koper, Rijeka, Aliaga, Singapore, before returning to Busan.
The launch strengthens MSC’s network coverage across Asia and the Mediterranean, supporting growing trade flows between the two regions while enhancing service flexibility and transit connectivity.
