MSC increases Med to Far East charges

MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company) has announced the following new freight rates as from 1 February 2021 until further notice but not beyond 28 February 2021.

All Prices are in US Dollars unless otherwise specified.
The above rates are inclusive of the base rate, ocean freight rate, Suez Canal charge (SCS), bunker related surcharges, piracy risk surcharge and peak season surcharge , according to the MSC announcement.

In addition, the above rates are subject to terminal handling charges at origin and destination, as mentioned above, ship and port security charge and carrier security fees.

  • Ship and Port Security Charges:  €25 (US$30) per container
  • Carrier Security Fees:  US$11 per container[/s2If]
