MSC enhances NWC-Morocco to West Africa service

Swiss/Italian box carrier MSC announced enhancements to its NWC-Morocco to West Africa service, strengthening trade connections between Europe and West Africa through new direct calls.

This marks the company’s first direct service from Northwestern countries to Angola, Congo, and DR Congo, offering transport solutions for dry, reefer, and project cargo.

Key updates to the service include:

  1. Direct call to Pointe Noire with transit times of 23 days from Rotterdam, 21 days from Antwerp, and 19 days from Le Havre.
  2. Direct call to Luanda with transit times of 25 days from Rotterdam, 23 days from Antwerp, and 21 days from Le Havre.
  3. Improved access to Matadi (DR Congo) via feeder service from Pointe Noire.

MSC’s service will be further enhanced with intermodal solutions connecting Pointe Noire to Kinshasa and Brazzaville, and from Luanda to key inland destinations in Angola.

The following updated rotation will begin in the 48th week of the year, starting on 25 November with vessel MSC Suez:

Rotterdam (Netherlands) – Antwerp (Belgium) – Le Havre (France) – Casablanca (Morocco) – Las Palmas (Spain, Canary Islands) – Dakar (Senegal) – Conakry (Guinea) – Lomé (Togo) – Pointe Noire (Republic of Congo) – Luanda (Angola)

“This service remains complementary to our other NWC to WAF service, enabling us to keep enhancing our presence and connectivity into the region,” said MSC in an announcement.
