MSC announces rotation changes in Far East – North America services

Swiss/Italian container line MSC has decided to change the port rotation of two services connecting the Far East with the United States and Canada.

MSC’s Santana service port rotation will be updated as follows:

Haiphong (Vietnam) – Shanghai (China)  – Ningbo (China) – Busan (South Korea) – Manzanillo (Mexico) – Cristobal (Panama) – Caucedo (Dominican Republic) – Port Everglades (US) – Baltimore (US)

MSC noted that the first vessel that will sail under the new rotation will be the 9,578 TEU MSC Vilda.

Additionally, the Geneva-headquartered ocean carrier announced a port rotation change on its Chinook service, which will be effective from mid-July.

The updated port rotation of MSC’s Chinook service will be Yantian (China) – Shanghai (China) – Qingdao (China) – Busan (South Korea) – Vancouver (Canada) – Seattle (US) – Portland (US)

The new rotation will be effective from the sailing of vessel MSC Damna, beginning in Yantian on 15 July.

MSC said in a statement that the aforementioned changes are “part of continuous efforts to streamline services for improved transit times and schedule reliability.”
