MSC and ZIM cease cooperation on the North Europe – East Med trade

ZIM and MSC have decided to cease their cooperation on the North Europe – East Mediterranean trade, terminating their joint service from the end of March 2022.

The last vessel of the service will be MSC Lausanne which will finish its port rotation on 29 March.

“Future services will be further advised separately by MSC and ZIM in the coming weeks,” said the Israeli shipping company in a statement.

This announcement comes a few days after ZIM extended its operational collaboration agreement with 2M Alliance, consisting of MSC and Maersk, on the Asia – US East Coast (USEC) and Asia – US Gulf Coast (USGC) trades.
