MSC has announced significant adjustments to its Far East–Europe Albatross service, according to the DynaLiners report.
Several ports with strong Maersk associations have been removed from the service rotation. These include Busan, Tanjung Pelepas, and Ulsan in Asia, as well as Aarhus, Gothenburg, Rotterdam, Tangier, and Wilhelmshaven in Europe and the Mediterranean.
In their place, MSC has added key strategic ports such as Cai Mep, Kwangyang, and Shenzhen (Yantian) in Asia, and Felixstowe, Gdansk, and London Gateway in Europe, signaling a decisive shift in the company’s independent service structure.
The new Albatross rotation is as follows:
Tianjin – Dalian – Kwangyang – Ningbo – Shanghai – Yantian (Shenzhen) – Singapore – Felixstowe – London Gateway – Bremerhaven – Gdansk – Bremerhaven – Felixstowe – Singapore – Ho Chi Minh (Cai Mep) – Shanghai – Tianjin.
This reconfiguration marks an important move in MSC’s post-2M strategy, reflecting its efforts to reinforce independent network capabilities and optimize port calls aligned with its commercial priorities.
