MSC Adds Abu Dhabi to Carioca service, drops Hambantota

MSC is adjusting its Far East–East Coast South America Carioca service, adding Abu Dhabi on the eastbound leg while removing Hambantota, Sri Lanka. The change, effective from late October, is designed to support reefer cargo flows from South America to the Middle East, according to Dynaliners.

The update follows the recent addition of Itapoa to the service earlier this year.

The revised Carioca rotation will be: Qingdao – Busan – Ningbo – Shanghai – Shenzhen (Shekou) – Singapore – Colombo – Rio de Janeiro – Santos – Paranagua – Itapoa – Itajai – Buenos Aires – Rio Grande – Itajai – Navegantes – Santos – Rio de Janeiro – Walvis Bay – Abu Dhabi – Singapore – Qingdao.
