As part of Singapore’s 60th year of independence celebrations, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore has partnered with InstaSG for the 2025 edition of the Mad About Singapore initiative.
This special collaboration was officially launched at the Singapore Maritime Gallery by Mr. David Foo, Deputy Chief Executive of MPA, and shines a spotlight on Singapore’s rich maritime legacy through the lens of Instagram photography.
Launched in 2014, Mad About Singapore is an annual ground-up initiative that encourages Singaporeans to visually share what the nation means to them from culture and community to everyday life.
The 2025 edition introduces a co-theme, #MaritimeSG, to highlight the city-state’s maritime identity and its evolution as a global trading hub.
As part of this theme, MPA and InstaSG organised an exclusive photowalk at PSA Alongside, offering 45 photographers rare access to capture port operations up-close at PSA’s Pasir Panjang Terminal a behind-the-scenes look at one of the world’s busiest ports.
Following its run at the Maritime Gallery, the Mad About Singapore 2025 exhibition will travel to four major shopping malls across Singapore from 21 July to 17 August.
