Mondiale VGL has appointed Matthew Warrington as Group CEO, effective January 2026. The move follows a global search and marks a new phase for the Oceania-based logistics provider, which now operates in 19 markets.
Warrington brings more than 30 years of international logistics and supply chain experience. He joins from Toll Group, where he led Toll Global Forwarding. In addition, he oversaw 2,500 staff in 29 countries and managed more than US$2.3 billion in annual revenue. He previously held senior roles at Linfox, Visy Logistics, GrainCorp, and BevChain. He also spent five years as a Partner and Director at Boston Consulting Group.
Mondiale VGL Chair Justine Smyth said the appointment supports the company’s push for growth and innovation. She called Warrington “a highly respected leader” with a strong record of delivering customer-focused results. She said his commercial insight and global experience will strengthen the company’s performance.
Warrington said the company has built an impressive global platform and a strong reputation. He aims to expand the network, enhance services and create new opportunities for employees. “I look forward to building on the momentum already in place,” he said.
Warrington is based in Australia and will work from Mondiale VGL’s Sydney office. He will also maintain a regular presence in New Zealand and across the global network.
The leadership change follows Ray Meade’s decision to step down after 16 years with Mondiale VGL, including ten as CEO. He will move into a senior commercial role. Smyth thanked him for his long service and leadership.
