Modern Terminals upgrades Navis terminal operating system

Modern Terminals Limited has completed the upgrade of Navis’ N4 terminal operating system (TOS) in its container terminals at Kwai Tsing Port in Hong Kong and DaChan Bay in China to support more efficient and effective operations.

“With our intelligent TOS connecting the dots throughout the terminal, Modern Terminals has all the data it needs to make real-time business decisions, building its reputation as a reliable gateway to keep cargo flowing smoothly in the region,” said David Houser, vice president and general manager at Navis.

The Hong-Kong based terminal operator and Navis worked closely to bring online the modernised system for the support of the terminals’ complex operations, according to a statement, while due to international Covid-19 travel restrictions, the go-lives were conducted remotely by Navis’ professional services team.

“With the updated system in place, we are well-positioned to not only meet the needs of our shipping line customers but also support our future plans to bring in more digital initiatives to our terminals in Hong Kong and DaChan Bay,” commented Michael Yip, chief innovation officer of Modern Terminals Limited.
