MITSUI E&S, PACECO to supply two portainers to Long Beach

MITSUI E&S and its U.S. subsidiary, PACECO Corp., have received an order from Total Terminals International (TTI) for two new MITSUI-PACECO Portainer® ship-to-shore gantry cranes for the Port of Long Beach, California.

The cranes will feature a 230-foot outreach, capable of handling the world’s largest 24,000-TEU container ships across 25 containers wide. They will be among the largest STS cranes delivered to the Port of Long Beach and neighboring Port of Los Angeles.

This is TTI’s first order for Portainer cranes, though MITSUI E&S and PACECO have supplied 24 Transtainer® rubber-tired gantry cranes to the terminal over the past two decades.

The companies said the order reflects their role as trusted partners to U.S. ports, supporting supply chain resilience, aligning with national security priorities, and delivering high-quality, environmentally friendly crane solutions.
