Medkon is launching a new set of intra–East Mediterranean services, adding three new connections linking Turkey with North Africa and the Levant.
The Turkey Benghazi Service (TBS) and the Marmara & East Mediterranean Service (MES) will be operated with Medkon’s own tonnage, while the Turkey–Alger Service (TAE) will be provided through slot arrangements on SeaLead’s NAF service.
Under the new network, the Marmara & East Mediterranean Service (MES) will operate on the rotation: Istanbul (Ambarli) – Izmit – Aliaga – Damietta – Beirut – Mersin – Istanbul.
The Turkey Benghazi Service (TBS) will connect Istanbul (Ambarli), Izmit and Nemport with Benghazi, before returning to Istanbul.
The Turkey–Alger Service (TAE) will be operated with two vessels of around 800 TEU capacity on the rotation: Istanbul (Ambarli) – Izmit (Safiport) – Nemport – Algiers – Istanbul.
The new services are expected to strengthen Medkon’s regional network and improve connectivity between Turkey, North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean.
