Before the Marie Maersk there was the Maersk Frankfurt, the MSC Capetown III and the Wan Hai 503 since the beginning of June these cargo fires have claimed seven crew lives, on container ships this year alone.
Others have died on other ship types including tankers and car carriers, which seem to be suffering lithium battery fires on electric cars, a problem that will affect some container ships too.
