
A massive warehouse fire in Hamburg’s port has left six people injured, including three firefighters, after hundreds of nitrous oxide cylinders exploded inside the facility. The blaze broke out on Monday in the Veddel district, sending gas containers flying and spreading thick smoke across the city.
Authorities confirmed that 25 people were evacuated from the area, some by boat, while debris from the explosions struck the nearby A1 motorway, injuring a motorist. One victim remains in critical condition.
Over 120 firefighters continued operations on Tuesday, battling flames and smouldering wreckage. The area remains sealed off as investigations continue, as reported by Euronews.
