Maersk unveils methanol-fuelled newbuildings with new design

Maersk has unveiled the new look of its new series of 12 large methanol enabled container vessels. The new vessels with the new container ship design are expected to enhance the fleet of the Danish ocean carrier in the next months.

“The first in a new series of 12 large methanol enabled container ships, made her launching and undocking milestone,” said Maersk in a Twitter post.

The new container ships will have a length of 350 metres, a width of 53.5 metres and a container capacity of 16,200 TEUs.
