Maersk suspends calls to Haifa amid rising regional tensions

Maersk has decided to temporarily suspend vessel calls to the Port of Haifa, Israel, as well as halt cargo acceptance for this destination.

In light of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, and after a thorough assessment of current threat risk reports, Maersk continuously monitors geopolitical developments that may impact logistics operations.

This decision has been made with the safety and security of our seafarers, vessels, and customer cargo as the highest priority.

Regional instability and the associated risks have prompted this precautionary measure to protect our people and ensure operational resilience.

At present, calls to the Port of Ashdod continue, and we are working to provide additional transport solutions where needed.

Maersk will continue to monitor the situation closely and will reassess this suspension as circumstances evolve.
