Maersk reshapes Regional Leadership Team

Maersk has announced several changes to its regional leadership structure.

Executive Summary

  • Ditlev Blicher becomes Regional President for North America.

  • Scott Andrew Elliott becomes interim Regional President of Asia-Pacific.

  • Charles Van Der Steene becomes Regional Managing Director for India, Middle East and Africa.

  • Guillaume Sauzedde becomes Regional Managing Director for Europe.

Maersk CEO Vincent Clerc said the regions have delivered strongly in recent years. They drove growth, improved customer focus, and integrated acquired companies. He said this progress allows Maersk to reorganize its regional leadership to move faster in a changing market.

Ditlev Blicher will lead the North America Region. He joined Maersk in 2020 and has led Asia-Pacific since then. Scott Andrew Elliott, currently CFO for Asia-Pacific, will serve as interim Regional President of Asia-Pacific. He also joined Maersk in 2020.

Charles Van Der Steene will take over the India Subcontinent, Middle East and Africa Region. He joined Maersk in 2011 and most recently served as Regional President for North America. Richard Morgan, current head of the region, will leave the company. Morgan joined Maersk in 2003 and held several commercial leadership positions before taking the regional role in 2019.

Guillaume Sauzedde becomes Regional Managing Director for Europe. He joined Maersk in 2024 as Head of Logistics & Services for the region. Current regional head, Aymeric Chandavoine, will leave the company. Chandavoine joined Maersk in 2020 and previously served as Global Head of Logistics & Services before taking over the Europe Region in 2023.

Antonio Dominguez will continue as Regional Managing Director for Latin America.

All leadership changes take effect on 1 January 2026.
