Maersk removes Malta from North Europe–Mediterranean service

Maersk has announced changes to the Emergency Contingency Surcharge (ECS) affecting shipments from North America and Central and West Coast South America to key ports in the Middle East

Maersk has adjusted its North Europe–Mediterranean North Sea service, removing Malta as a hub from the rotation. The service now connects London (Gateway), Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Antwerp, Alexandria, Ashdod, Port Said, and returns to London.

The change aims to streamline operations and improve schedule efficiency across the network.
