Maersk opens logistics hub in Panama Pacifico

A.P. Moller – Maersk has opened a new 20,000+ sqm logistics facility in Panama Pacifico, establishing a strategic distribution hub for companies operating across Latin America, North America, and Asia.

Located in a Special Economic Zone on Panama’s Pacific side, the centre leverages the country’s unique geographic position and multimodal connectivity to accelerate regional and global trade flows.

Designed for scale, flexibility, and efficiency, the facility offers 10,952 pallet positions, advanced Warehouse Management Systems, and a full suite of value-added services. It supports multi-country inventory management, omni-channel fulfilment, and cross-border distribution, with seamless links to ocean, air, road, and rail transport.

“Panama is not just a stopover, it’s a launchpad. This hub gives our customers the speed, flexibility, and cost efficiency they need to scale across the region”. said John Carmichael, Head of Sales for Central America, Andean, and Caribbean at Maersk.

The site’s Special Economic Zone designation provides customs flexibility, tax exemptions, and country-of-origin preservation, making it an ideal base for companies seeking simplified compliance and centralized control over regional operations.

Maersk continues to expand its integrated logistics capabilities across the Americas, enabling customers to better position inventory, improve visibility, and respond faster to market demands.
