Maersk has unveiled a new Caribbean–North Europe service, set to launch at the end of September 2025 as part of a broader reshaping of its ocean network in the Latin American and Transatlantic corridors.
The new CAX service is designed to replace the existing CRX and COEX services and will offer enhanced schedule reliability, improved transit times, and broader market connectivity.
The rotation will include key ports across Europe, the US East Coast, and the Caribbean: Antwerp – Southampton – Hamburg – Bremerhaven – Newark – Manzanillo – Puerto Antioquia – Puerto Moin – Manzanillo.
Until fully operational, Puerto Antioquia will be served via a feeder connection through Manzanillo.
CAX is positioned to become a key conduit for reefer cargo between the Caribbean and Europe, enabling seamless integration into Maersk’s wider global network via the Panama hub.
The service ensures continued direct access to Northern European ports and enhanced feeder links.
