Maersk introduces peak season surcharge on Far East Asia and Taiwan routes to Oceania

Maersk will implement a peak season surcharge for shipments from Far East Asia and Taiwan to various Oceania destinations, with the surcharge becoming effective on different dates depending on the origin.

This adjustment aims to address seasonal demand fluctuations and maintain service reliability during peak periods.



For shipments originating from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Timor Leste to Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Solomon Islands will be at US$ 300 per 20′ container and US$ 600 per 40′ and 45′ container, effective from August 4, 2025.

To New Zealand and Fiji Islands will be at US$ 200 per 20′ container and US$ 400 per 40′ and 45′ container, effective from August 18, 2025.
