Maersk ceases all operations in Russia and Belarus

Maersk has announced the closure of its operations in Russia and Belarus due to the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The Danish company has already stopped all vessel operations in Russia and service with Belarus and it will gradually shut down all domestic operations. “The winddown does not allow for any new business in neither Russia nor Belarus,” pointed out Maersk.

The Copenhagen-based carrier confirmed the upcoming closure of its offices in Far East Russia, Novorossiysk and Kaliningrad during the summer of 2022, while the offices in Saint Petersburg and Moscow will run until the end of the year.

Additionally, Maersk’s office in Belarus will also be shut down during the summer.
