Maersk appoints new Chief Financial Officer

Patrick Jany has joined AP Møller- Maersk as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Member of the Executive Board.

Patrick Jany, who is a German citizen, previously worked within the finance and business process optimisation as CFO as a member of the executive committee of Clariant AG, Switzerland. He will assume responsibility as CFO of AP Møller- Maersk from 1 May 2020.

“I am pleased to welcome Patrick Jany to AP Møller- Maersk where he will play a key role in the acceleration of our strategic transformation. ” said CEO Søren Skou.

Prior to his role as CFO, Patrick Jany held several leadership positions within finance, general management and corporate development in Clariant in Germany, Mexico, Singapore, Indonesia and Spain.

The Executive Board of AP Møller- Maersk will now consist of:

  • Søren Skou, CEO
  • Patrick Jany, CFO
  • Vincent Clerc, CEO of Ocean and Logistics,
  • Morten Engelstoft, CEO of APM Terminals
  • Henriette Hallberg Thygesen, CEO of Fleet & Strategic Brands
