In order to continue providing reliable global services, Maersk has announced a revision of the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for cargo moving from World origins to French Polynesia. The adjustment will take effect 05 September 2025 for non-regulated countries and 23 September 2025 for regulated countries.
The updated surcharge levels are as follows:

The surcharge applies differently depending on booking type:

Non-SPOT bookings: Rates are based on the Price Calculation Date (PCD). For non-FMC trades, this is the scheduled departure date of the first water leg at booking confirmation. For FMC trades, it refers to the last container gate-in date.

SPOT bookings: Rates are based on the first vessel ETD at booking confirmation.
For transparency, Maersk has also shared an example of the applicable rate structure for the corridor Tauranga, New Zealand to Papeete, French Polynesia, effective 05-Sep-25 until further notice:
