Maersk announces port rotation changes on SAECS service

Danish box line Maersk has decided to change the port rotation of the SAECS service aiming to improve efficiency and schedule reliability.

The updated rotation of Maersk’s SAECS service will be Port Elizabeth (South Africa) – Durban (South Africa) – Cape Town (South Africa) – Rotterdam (The Netherlands) – London Gateway (United Kingdom) – Bremerhaven (Germany) – Algeciras (Spain) – Port Elizabeth

Maersk said the service will continue to be operated by nine container vessels.

For South Africa to Europe, the first vessel on the rotation will be the Santa Isabel 224N, which is scheduled to arrive in Port Elizabeth on 25 October 2022.
