Maersk announces fresh America peak season surcharges

Maersk has announced updated peak season surcharges to America, which will be effective in November.

Firstly, the Danish carrier has revised the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for all container types from Eastern Mediterranean countries (Bulgaria, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine) to the United States and Canada, effective from 15 November.

Additionally, Maersk has decided to implement a PSS of US$1,000 per reefer box, effective on 11 November for all cargo transiting in the following scopes:
