LX Pantos strengthens safety in logistics industry

LX Pantos has signed a landmark memorandum of understanding with the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office to enhance industrial accident prevention and foster a safety-first culture within the logistics sector.

This agreement represents the first formal collaboration between a government agency and a private company specifically targeting safety in home appliance installations.

The MOU signing took place on July 21 at the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office in Jung-gu, Seoul, with CEO Lee Yong-ho and Director Kwon Tae-sung in attendance.

The initiative aims to prevent workplace accidents at logistics and installation sites, while encouraging stronger occupational health and safety practices among LX Pantos’s network of small and medium-sized enterprise partners.

As part of the agreement, LX Pantos will produce and distribute a safety training video specifically addressing the safe installation of AC units.

The company also plans to support its partners during the summer months by supplying heat stress prevention tools such as industrial fans, cooling vests and sleeves, and electrolyte supplements. Additionally, LX Pantos will run ongoing safety awareness campaigns using 138 digital signage displays installed at its logistics centers across the country.

In support of the initiative, the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office will provide consulting on worksite safety standards and collaborate with LX Pantos to co-develop public awareness content, including visuals and messaging aimed at promoting safety for logistics workers.

LX Pantos CEO Lee Yong-ho noted that through this partnership, they are committed to setting a leading example and advancing a broader culture of safety across the logistics industry.
