Lufthansa Cargo announces key management appointments

Lufthansa Cargo has appointed three executives to new leadership positions.

On 15 February 2026, Gunnar Loehr will become Head of Region DACH & KAM EMEA. He will oversee Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and key accounts across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Loehr joined Lufthansa Cargo in 2002 and has held roles across Spain, Portugal, the Arabian Peninsula, Latin America, and at the company headquarters in Frankfurt. Most recently, he led logistics procurement, supply management, and infrastructure. He succeeds Philip Rauchhaus, who became Vice President of Global Revenue Management and Pricing on 1 January 2026, replacing Helge Krueger-Lorenzen, who retired after 38 years with Lufthansa Group.

“I am delighted that an experienced logistics leader like Gunnar Loehr is taking on this role,” said Anand Kulkarni, Head of Global Markets. “His global experience across 20 countries will provide fresh impetus in our customer collaboration.”

Markus Cirjan will take over operational management of Lufthansa Cargo’s Munich hub at the earliest possible date. Cirjan joined Lufthansa Cargo in Atlanta in 2013 and has managed sales and handling across the Mid-Atlantic and Ohio Valley. He succeeds Ivo Seehann, who has taken on new responsibilities through closer cooperation with Swiss WorldCargo.

“Markus’s expertise will drive performance at our Munich hub to the next level,” said Frank Bauer, Chief Operations Officer.
