
Air Cargo Community Frankfurt e.V. has appointed Frank Bauer, Chief Operating Officer of Lufthansa Cargo AG, to its board.
Bauer took on the COO role at Lufthansa Cargo on July 1, 2025. He now represents the airline on the association’s board, bringing with him deep industry experience and leadership expertise.
He has spent much of his career within the Lufthansa Group. His roles have included board positions at Eurowings and responsibilities in controlling and risk management. Since August 2023, Bauer has been part of Lufthansa Cargo’s executive team, serving as CFO, CHRO, and Labor Director before moving into his current position.
“I am pleased to help shape the future of Air Cargo Community Frankfurt as a board member,” Bauer said. “Frankfurt is one of the world’s most important cargo hubs. Collaboration within the community is essential for growth. I want to drive digitalization and innovation to strengthen FRA further.”
Air Cargo Community Frankfurt represents more than 100 companies along the air freight value chain at Frankfurt Airport, Europe’s leading cargo hub. The association focuses on process improvements and site development to support the industry’s future growth.
