Lower surcharges in Tunisia

The operations in Rades (Tunisia), even though still affected by some delays, have recently improved with a consequent enhancement of the service.

In light of this development, Hapag-Lloyd’s Terminal Congestion Surcharge (CGD) on all import shipments to Rades will now be reduced, with new lower amounts being as follows:

  • USD 90 per TEU for all trades except North Europe/Med and Intra-Med, effective as from November 2, 2018.
  • EURO 80 per TEU for North Europe/Med and Intra-Med trades, effective as from November 15, 2018.

“As soon as further improvement of the current operational situation in Rades occurs, we will consider as Hapag-Lloyd waiving or mitigating the Terminal Congestion Surcharge to lower levels again”, German company said in its press release.
