Liebherr Group reports US$12.8 million in revenue in 2021

Liebherr Group has recorded a revenue of approximately US$12.8 million (€11.64 million) in 2021, nearly matching the all-time high of US$12.9 million (€11.75 million) in 2019, with almost all product segments, except Gearing Technology & Automation Systems, and Maritime Cranes, contributing to the increase.

During the same period, Liebherr Group invested approximately US$815 million (€742 million) in its production facilities and its global sales and service network, representing a year-on-year increase of 22.6% in investments.

Liebherr explained in a statement that despite the fact that world markets began to recover in the second quarter of 2021, manufacturing companies faced new challenges in the form of bottlenecks in the global supply chain.

The insufficient availability of various raw materials, components and electronic parts has therefore resulted in price increases and impacted Liebherr’s production activities.

Meanwhile, the number of employees of the manufacturing group around the world rose by 3.5% or by 1,686 people in 2021, to 49,611. Most of the increase was in Europe, followed by Asia, Oceania, South and North America, according to Liebherr’s figures.
