KWE and Siemens Healthcare expand global supply chain partnership

Kintetsu World Express, Inc. (KWE) has expanded its partnership with Siemens Healthcare Ltd. Magnet Technology to enhance procurement efficiency and strengthen global supply chain operations. The collaboration focuses on sourcing key medical device components from Asia to support Siemens Healthcare’s UK production facilities.

Driving Procurement from Asia
Under the agreement, Siemens Healthcare will use KWE’s global logistics network to manage procurement from Asian suppliers. KWE will oversee supplier engagement, quality control, and international transportation. The initiative involves shipping 200–300 container units annually to the UK, with the first shipments planned for December 2025.

Expanding KWE’s Global Reach
KWE will reinforce its European operations, especially in the UK, while expanding logistics support across Asia. To sustain the long-term project, KWE is developing additional ocean freight capacity and logistics infrastructure. Both companies will hold regular joint business review meetings to ensure continuous alignment and drive strategic growth.

This partnership combines Siemens Healthcare’s innovation in medical technology with KWE’s global logistics expertise, accelerating procurement, improving supply chain resilience, and expanding reach across international markets.
