Kuehne+Nagel to acquire spanish road logistics provider TDN

Kuehne+Nagel has signed an agreement to acquire Transporte y Distribución Nacional, a well-established Spanish road logistics company headquartered in Madrid.

This strategic acquisition marks a significant enhancement of Kuehne+Nagel’s European groupage network.

TDN employs more than 600 professionals and managed over one million shipments in 2024. With 45 terminals and a partner network operating over 700 vehicles, TDN covers more than 200 daily routes across mainland Spain, the Balearic and Canary Islands, and Portugal.

Hansjörg Rodi, Executive Vice President of Road Logistics at Kuehne+Nagel noted that this move supports the strategic growth objectives and adds considerable value to the business.

Susana Fernández Paradela, President of TDN, commented that the complementary networks, combined with a strong cultural alignment, will allow to deliver more comprehensive logistics solutions and unlock new career opportunities.

The transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approval from the relevant merger control authorities.

Upon completion, the deal will be immediately earnings accretive and fully aligned with Kuehne+Nagel’s existing Road Logistics operations.
