Kuehne+Nagel has acquired the road logistics activities of LSL-Lohmöller Spedition und Logistik GmbH, strengthening its domestic and European road freight network.

The deal covers Lohmöller’s groupage, less-than-truckload (LTL) and full-truckload (FTL) operations. Founded in 1930, the family-run company is based in north-west Germany, a key industrial region with significant road freight activity. In 2024, its road freight business generated revenue of approximately €23.5 million.

The acquisition brings 142 logistics specialists and around 50 trucks into Kuehne+Nagel’s established German network, further enhancing its footprint across Europe. Lohmöller had joined IDS, one of Germany’s largest groupage freight cooperations, earlier in 2026, strengthening Kuehne+Nagel’s position within the network.

The transaction follows Kuehne+Nagel’s acquisition of TDN in Spain last year, underlining the company’s strategy to expand its European road logistics capabilities.

Hansjörg Rodi, Executive Vice President, Road Logistics, Kuehne+Nagel, said: “With Lohmöller, we welcome a team that shares our commitment to customer-proximity and qualitative services supported by technology and sustainability. We look forward to jointly expanding the value we deliver to our customers.”

Benedikt Lohmöller, representing Lohmöller, said: “Thanks to our long-standing partnership in the international logistics space established in 2018, both companies are well-acquainted and have developed a mutual appreciation. We are fully aligned in our commercial approach and share the same values, particularly regarding our relationships with customers and employees, which makes this collaboration an excellent fit.”

The contract logistics and industry-related services of Lohmöller are not included in the acquisition and will remain with the current owners. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected in March.
