KR (Korean Register) has launched two digital platforms, PILOT (Platform for Insightful Low-Emission Transitions) and POWER (Performance Evaluation for Operational Characteristics, Weather & Aging Effect and Fuel Consumption Review). Both tools are designed to help shipowners develop effective carbon-reduction strategies and improve operational efficiency.

With the EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime already in force, and uncertainty surrounding the IMO’s delayed Net-Zero Framework, shipowners face increasing regulatory and financial pressure.
