Kongsberg Maritime has expanded its UUC PM azimuth thruster range. The new models deliver higher efficiency, reliability, and performance for offshore and marine operations. Two new sizes have been added to the UUC PM 405 model.
The new units feature propeller diameters of 3.8m and 4.1m, producing 86 and 91 metric tons of thrust. Kongsberg plans future models up to 5.5m diameter and 6,000 kW power. These upgrades support larger vessels and more demanding offshore applications.

The UUC PM thrusters are designed for easy underwater mounting and removal. This reduces vessel downtime and maintenance costs. Kongsberg also offers turnkey thruster change-outs for fast, efficient service.
Spare units can be stored in key global locations. Kongsberg manages full maintenance projects. This minimizes interruptions and ensures fast return to operation.
Built-in sensors allow live condition monitoring. Combined with permanent magnet motors and underwater mounting, the thrusters deliver high efficiency, reliability, and serviceability. They are ideal for offshore support vessels, drilling rigs, and dynamic positioning applications.
