Konecranes to deliver eight overhead cranes to manufacturing facility in Indonesia

Konecranes has secured an order to supply eight CXT overhead cranes to PT Beka Wire, Indonesia’s manufacturing facility in Subang.

These cranes will support material handling operations at every stage of production. The order was placed in late October 2024, with delivery and installation planned for March 2025.

The package includes three 5-ton overhead cranes for the galvanizing line, supporting both production and assembly, as well as three more 5-ton cranes for the warehouse to manage finished goods and spare parts.

All six cranes feature nearly 200-meter-long runways. Additionally, two 3-ton overhead cranes with 40-meter runways will serve the pickling area, aiding the dipping and galvanizing processes.

These cranes are designed with specialized features, such as hot-dip galvanizing for the girders and C5-coated hoist components, ensuring long-term durability in demanding conditions.

Sandy Suryadi, Managing Director at PT Beka Wire Indonesia, stated: “Given the demanding nature of our operations, we needed reliable and durable cranes that can handle the complexities of material handling in our facility. We believe that Konecranes’ products are a right fit for this and help us to ensure a smooth and efficient production flow.”

Bobby Cangkrama, Sales Director of Konecranes Indonesia, commented: “At Konecranes, we always work closely with our customers to understand their unique needs. This order for PT Beka Wire Indonesia reflects that commitment by providing customized material handling solutions that align with their operations, helping to ensure their production runs efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.”
