
Kintetsu World Express has opened a new warehouse in the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone through its subsidiary Shanghai Kintetsu Logistics Co., Ltd.
The company relocated its head office and warehouse within the zone and started operations at the new facility on 4 March 2026. An opening ceremony marked the launch.
The warehouse features advanced automation, including automated forklifts and a shuttle-based storage and retrieval system. These systems improve efficiency and optimise space utilisation.
The facility offers integrated services. These include storage, inbound and outbound handling, and distribution. The aim is to support more efficient supply chains.
The warehouse mainly serves the electronics, semiconductor, healthcare and automotive sectors. It also provides vendor-managed inventory services, overseas procurement logistics and buyers’ consolidation.
The site includes air-conditioned storage and refrigerated and frozen facilities. It has obtained multiple certifications, including TAPA-A, AEO and ISO standards, ensuring high security and quality levels.
Kintetsu said the investment strengthens its logistics capabilities in China and supports customers operating in the region.
