KEZAD Group expands Abu Dhabi metals facility with Ducab Metals Business

Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – KEZAD Group, the largest operator of integrated and purpose-built economic zones, and Ducab Metals Business, a leading regional supplier of metal solutions, have signed a lease agreement to expand Ducab’s existing manufacturing facility in KEZAD.

The 50-year lease agreement was signed at the Make It In The Emirates Forum 2024, in the presence of Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, CEO of KEZAD Group, and Khaled Lootah, Chairman of Ducab Group.

This agreement will enable Ducab Metals Business to expand its current 50,000 square metre facility by an additional 51,015 square metres, bringing its total footprint in KEZAD to over 100,000 square metres. The expansion aims to increase the production capacity of high-quality copper and aluminium industrial products.

In addition, the project will offer several strategic benefits, including leveraging Ducab’s proprietary, best-in-class research and development to bolster Abu Dhabi’s reputation as a hub for advanced metal products. Furthermore, the facility expansion is expected to create new job opportunities.

“Ducab Metals Business is a reputable name in the industry. KEZAD Group is spearheading the progress in metal manufacturing as one of the leading industrial and economic zones in the United Arab Emirates. KEZAD Group is helping to pave the road for sustainable growth and innovation in the UAE’s metal sector through Abu Dhabi’s business-friendly policies for the advances of metal industries and investment in associated infrastructure,” stated Mohamed Al Khadar, CEO Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – KEZAD Group.

Also, Ducab Metals Business (DMB), a renowned name in the metals industry, exemplifies innovation and quality with its two state-of-the-art facilities and a total installed capacity of over 235,000 tonnes of copper and aluminium annually, supplying products to over 75 countries worldwide. The Make It In The Emirates Forum, organized by the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), provides a valuable platform for networking and knowledge exchange within the industrial community, both locally and internationally.

According to a statement, the event brings together decision-makers, government and private sector officials, experts, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, investors, startups, and SMEs, with the primary goal of showcasing investment opportunities in the local industrial sector.

“Our expansion in KEZAD marks a significant milestone for DMB.
