Kenya imports – Details required

ONE’s announcement:

Kenya Revenue Authority and Kenya Ports Authority have notified that containers destined to Kenya through the Port of Mombasa and liable to local clearance shall be required to have the full consignee details in each BL and manifest that is submitted to Kenya for Import Cargo Clearance with effect from 30 Nov 2018.

Details required shall be:

  • Consignee name – must be the same as registered on Tax Personal Identification Number (PIN)
  • Mailing address – must be the same as registered on Tax Personal Identification Number (PIN)
  • E-mail
  • Mobile number

In case the consignee is ‘To Order’, the notify party or a bank is the contact entity, the same contact details should be included.
