Kalmar and Brasmaq continue long-term partnership with new reachstackers order

Kalmar, a Cargotec company, has secured an important order to provide Brazilian equipment leasing service firm Brasmaq Portuaria with 21 Kalmar Essential reachstackers.

The first batch of four reachstackers is scheduled to be delivered by the end of the fourth quarter of 2023, with the second group of 17 in the first quarter of 2024.

Brasmaq, based in the southern Brazilian coastal city of Itaja, Santa Catarina, specializes in leasing reachstackers and huge forklifts as part of a sustainable process that includes maintenance and replacement components, professional guidance, and 24-hour technical support.

Furthermore, the company operates the largest reachstacker fleet in Brazil and South America, servicing ports, container terminals, and industries. It currently has around 80 Kalmar machines in its fleet, including reachstackers, empty container handlers, and forklift trucks.

The Kalmar Essential reachstacker, which is built on Kalmar’s reliable and robust G-Generation platform, provides quality, reliability, and efficiency at an affordable price and comes in four different lifting capacities.

“The Brazilian market has shown strong growth in recent months. Setting up close local partnerships with leading local operators helps to address the growing demand from port operators for new machines, parts, service and technical support. We are delighted to continue our collaboration with Brasmaq with these new orders, which will bring the total number of Kalmar machines in their fleet to 93,” stated Elton Lima, sales executive of Kalmar Brazil.
